About acupuncture and more

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture involves the insertion of ultra-fine sterile needles into particular points of the body. The intention of this procedure is to balance the bodies qi (internal life-force/energy) within the channels. The ancient theory of yin and yang is used to diagnose any internal imbalances, the practitioner will take a full consultation along with a pulse and tongue examination to determine the possible cause of the presenting condition. Once the needles have been inserted into the chosen points they are retained for 20 minutes, the introduction of needle to skin is not painful but can feel a little energetic at times for a split second. Many patients find acupuncture an extremely relaxing experience.

Acupuncture can help with Pain, Sciatica, Arthritis, Lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, IBS, digestive issues, Insomnia, Allergies(hay fever), women's health issues (menopause, menstruation issues), Anxiety/depression and smoking cessation.
